Cat's Ebook and Editing Services
I am Cateenna Davis author and publisher of Sarah Rose. I have three children two of whom are in the Airforce, the youngest plans to join them when he has completed high school; I reside with my husband of 16 years in South Florida. Where I attended Broward College earning my degree in emergency medicine as a licensed paramedic.
Through my courses at Broward, my passion for writing was rekindled though my English classes and a few other classes where a short story or thesis was required, soon I found myself taking on more English classes than what was required for graduation. This helped in the completion of Sarah Rose. I am very proud of this project as it took ten years for me to complete.
Why so long you may be asking yourself, well the answer is simple. I started writing the pages as a release, never intending for it to turn into a storyline, as time went on the storyline grow until one day for no reason, other than I had nothing else to write, I put the story aside unfinished.
After some time passed, I received my degree and was working in the medical field, thinking of Sarah Rose here and there. Still telling myself it was only for my personal enjoyment.
My husband would eventually read a portion of Sarah Rose, then advising me I should put it out for the world to read. Of course, I laughed and brushed him off. Yet more years passed, he would bring up Sarah Rose from time to time, “Babe I really think you should complete and sale your story.” He would walk around like a proud peacock displaying it’s beautiful feathers, announcing to most of his family and friends, “My wife is writing a really great book.” I would shove him playfully and blush. Being a quiet person and sometimes embarrassed by my own success I told no one.
Nevertheless, after work one day I came home and told my husband I was tired of working for other people. I wanted to work for myself. As I tried to figure out what new career path I was going to take. I pulled Sarah Rose from the shelf and reread her. Finding it very hard to put down and wanting to know what was happening on the next page before I could finish the one I was reading, still not believing I had written those words. Never once saying to myself, what was I thinking when I wrote that. Right then I knew, it was time to get serious about my writing and take the next step.
Sarah Rose is now complete, and I sincerely hope you enjoy reading it, as much as I enjoyed writing it.
